Mousse was commissioned to curate the Artist Projects for Art Brussels 2011. Matthew Brannon, Claire Fontaine, Liam Gillick, Linder, Rob Pruitt and Nora Schultz were subsequently invited by Mousse to take a closer look at the boundaries of the art fair’s existing structure.
Matthew Brannon took over certain elements of its printed matter, such the catalogue cover, floor plan and VIP cards.
Liam Gillick assembled a sound project, spread through the fringes of the fair. Linder teamed up with designer Richard Nicoll to create uniforms for the staff, examining how clothing can confer identity. Rob Pruitt designed the carrier bag for Art Brussels, providing instructions on how the item could be recycled. Lastly, Nora Schultz commandeered the carpeted grid of corridors and aisles as the field of intervention in which to scatter her floor pieces.
